GOG made a lot of folks happy when it announced last week it was going to add several classic titles from the Apogee/3D Realms label to their downloadable game line-up. Today GoG.com has added a second Apogee game with Rise of the Triad, released back in 1994.

It's rare that the general public gets to play a version of a game that's actually older than what the finished product turned out to be. GSC Game World has given gamers that chance by releasing an alpha build of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Oblivion Lost. Now, what I'm tellin' ya is that ya gotta get out there and just start killin'. Don't ya ever stop. At least not until everyone else is dead. Ya look like a pretty strong guy, though, so I don't think yer gonna have any problems at all. In fact, tell ya what: ya go out there and do some awesome movie-style ****, and I'll give ya some of these fancy new weapons I got right here. So get out there and unleash the fury. I'll even shout out some hints to ya. I've already done it once, after all. Block the Plate
